The breakfast buffet had plenty of options to appease any person or allergies! From eggs to bagels, cereal, waffles, yogurt, fresh fruit, etc. There was a lot to choose from. We were here for 4 days. The main reason we booked a LaQuinta is because of their AMAZING pet policy!!! We have a Husky and a lab mix. We choose to travel with our dogs because one of them is blind and needs 4 different meds for health issues. It's so hard to find hotels with great pet policies, that don't charge an arm and a leg for a pet fee!! The one-bedroom suite with hid-a-bed was plenty big enough for our family of 3 and the 2 dogs. This specific location has a huge grass area on the property where we could run our dogs and play. The beds were firmer, pillows were nice and squishy. The pool was nice, but it's really awkward that it's shared with a swim school, so pay attention to the pool hours. The workout room was basic, but they did have a treadmill, elliptical, and some free weights. There was a Walmart right down the road, a shopping center right in front of the hotel, that we walked to several times, an Olive Garden, and a gas station. Everything to meet our needs, in a short walk. We drove into NYC from here. The drive into the city from here wasn't bad, but you will pay an ungodly amount for tolls and parking. There is also a bus stop right in front of the hotel, we just didn't want to risk getting lost navigating the public transportation system.

Booked la quinta for my son 5th birthday and let me tell you that from the front desk to the whole facility was awesome Amy in the front desk IA an amazing 👏 employee she made me and my kids feel at home and made sure we didn't need anything always checked up on us..the breakfast is a normal American breakfast no complaints there the lady in the breakfast section was another amazing employee was very attentive with us you barely get that in a restaurant. The hotel room was clean spacious bed, sheets, pillows and house keeping was on point. I really enjoy my 3 days stay....only problem I had was that the night shift lady with the yellow hair was RUDE she shouldn't work in customer service she has a nasty attitude and was bothered if you ask questions and when asked for a blanket she said nope no only one blanket per room which I found absurd since we were 5 but Amy the next day made sure we was comfortable Should hire more people like her!besides that I really don't get all the bad ratings hotel might be old but is well kept. Will definitely will be returning...

Great location, in a safe area. Maybe about 40 mins from JFK Airport. We booked because it was the only affordable hotel with a pool. The breakfast selection was excellent. Took me by surprise as I thought it'd just be bagels and muffins. There were waffles (that staff would make for you) eggs (boiled and scrambled), sausage, yogurts, fruits, cereal, etc. It was very nice. Our room was clean and quite spacious. We got the suite which had 2 queen beds and a sofa sleeper. The room Comfortably fit 5 of us. The beds were very comfortable. Housekeeping staff were amazing and cleaned our room everyday we were there. Free parking was a plus also!

Pedro on reception was excellent - he was very friendly, helpful and informative and completely different to some hotel staff (in other locations) I have encountered during previous visits to the NYC area. Location of hotel also very good - bus stop immediately outside with 25 min ride to central bus terminal one block from Times Square. We had requested a room facing NYC on a high floor and this was actioned so had a fabulous view of the whole NYC skyline

Clean, well maintained and good location to restaurants and shopping. Excellent that the bus stops in front of the hotel that goes directly into NY City and only for $4.25 one way. The room was large and a good value. Everything worked. Bathroom was clean and fairly large. A small bar area for coffee and a small refrigerator. I would stay there again and recommend it to others.
